THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew

For use with antibiotics to restore healthy gut flora

Scientifically developed probiotic formula to restore healthy gut flora during and after antibiotic use.

Antibiotic use can significantly disrupt the balance of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, disturbing the intestinal mucosa and reducing microbial diversity. This can lead to dysbiosis and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.4,5

Supporting gut flora during antibiotic use helps to keep our gut microbiome in good health. The beneficial bacteria in the gut play vital roles in digestive function by supporting the breakdown of food in the gut, assisting with bowel health.2-5

THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew is an evidence-based probiotic formula that helps to restore intestinal flora during the use of antibiotics. It contains specific beneficial probiotic strains that have been clinically researched to support the gut while taking antibiotics and maintain healthy immune function.1-9

THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew has been shown to support intestinal health and maintain gut flora diversity both during and after a course of antibiotics. These strains are clinically researched to reduce the impact of antibiotics on beneficial gut flora and lower the likelihood of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea.

The THER-BIOTIC™ probiotic range offers therapeutic, tailored blends of probiotics that target specific health needs. We only use clinically researched strains and optimal therapeutic dosages. With a wealth of clinical evidence behind every product – and fridge-free convenience – THER-BIOTIC™ is a range you can count on.

THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew has been shown to help:

Support gastrointestinal function:
Reduces inflammation in the gut and supports tight junctions that regulate permeability and barrier function.9,10

Promotes the production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) that ‘feed’ healthy gut bacteria and maintain the integrity of the intestinal barrier.8,12

Support and maintain healthy gut flora during antibiotic use: Clinically trialled to withstand antibiotics and support healthy gut flora. Bile and acid-resilient probiotics survive passage through the digestive tract.

Adults taking Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis BB-12® alongside antibiotics showed significantly fewer changes to gut flora and diversity, as well as faster restoration of gut flora.1

10 billion CFU daily dose of Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis BB-12® mitigated the reduction in microbiota diversity in response to the antibiotic amoxicillin-clavulanate and restored the gut microbiota faster than the control group.1

Restore microbiota diversity: Saccharomyces boulardii and Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis BB-12® were shown to stabilise gut microbiota and prevent the increase of opportunistic problematic bacteria when taken during and after antibiotic use.1,5,7 These strains also increased populations of beneficial species and promoted favorable conditions for a healthy gut environment.

Clinical studies have confirmed that the probiotic strains used in THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew are effective when used in conjunction with antibiotics. These benefits take effect from the beginning of supplementation and continue throughout the antibiotic regimen.

Adults: Take 1 capsule a day with water. THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew is designed to be taken with antibiotics.

Probiotics are generally well-tolerated. Mild gastrointestinal effects may be experienced in sensitive individuals. Individuals with compromised immune function or other serious underlying diseases are advised to restrict probiotic use to the strains and indications that have proven efficacy and to only supplement under the guidance of a healthcare professional.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Safety during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Please consult a health care professional for further information.

No added diary, egg, sesame, sulfites, colours, flavours or sweeteners. Vegetarian friendly.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional. Seek medical advice if diarrhoea persists for more than: 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3 to 6 years, or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everyone is different, and some people may find that it takes several weeks to replenish their gut flora.

It is recommended to take a probiotic supplement for at least 2-4 weeks after completing a course of antibiotics.

Studies show that taking probiotics after antibiotic use can help to restore healthy gut flora that may have been depleted. Probiotics also support the integrity of the gut barrier and maintain healthy immune function.

After completing a course of antibiotics, we recommend taking a comprehensive daily probiotic to support overall gut health and immunity. Learn more about THER-BIOTIC BioDaily.

No. There is no research to suggest that probiotics affect the function or efficacy of antibiotics.

The specific probiotic strains in THER-BIOTIC Antibiotic BioRenew have been clinically tested to survive in the gut when taken alongside antibiotics5,6.

Antibiotics affect the gut microbiome by reducing microbial diversity, which can lead to dysbiosis (bacterial imbalance) and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea4,5.

Supplementation with Saccharomyces boulardii and Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis BB-12® during and after antibiotic use has been shown to reduce the impact of antibiotic useand support faster restoration of a healthy microbiome1,6,7.

You may have heard that probiotics are “killed off” by antibiotics, so there’s no point in taking them at the same time. While that’s true for many strains of probiotics, the two strains in THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew are clinically proven to survive in the gut while taking antibiotics.

These strains are Saccharomyces boulardii and Bifidobacterium animalis ssp. lactis BB-12®, and they are also clinically trialled to help restore healthy gut flora.

THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew uses clinically studied bacterial strains at therapeutic dosages. These strains are clinically trialled to be resilient to antibiotics, bile, and stomach acid, and can survive passage through the digestive tract. THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew can be taken during and after antibiotic treatment to support and restore healthy gut flora.

The strains in THER-BIOTIC™ Antibiotic BioRenew are clinically proven to survive during antibiotic use, so you can take it at the same time as you take your antibiotic. There’s no need to separate the dose .

Taking THER-BIOTIC Antibiotic BioRenew at the outset of an antibiotic regimen and maintaining it throughout and post-treatment is shown to reduce the  impact on gut microbiota and help restore a healthy gut flora environment1-4.
